Meeting Information
GCRTA holds six membership luncheon meetings a year on the first Tuesday of February, April, June, an August picnic meeting, another luncheon in October and a brunch meeting in December. Locations and pricing vary as venues change.
The Executive Board meets the second Tuesday in the same month as the general meeting.

February 3rd Luncheon

Program: --Richard Regula, Stark County Commissioner, will share insights about his parents; Ralph Regula, who was a teacher, principal, attorney, and served in the Ohio House and Ohio Senate, as well as serving 36 years in the U.S. House of Representatives under presidents from both parties, and Richard’s mother, Mary Regula, who was instrumental in founding the National First Ladies’ Library and Museum in Canton, Ohio.

Program: Hear newly inaugurated President George Washington discuss the creation of the Constitution and his thoughts on being the first President of the United States. Dale Fellows will take you back in time to the 18th century.

Program: Michael Harkness, STRS Board Chair, Pat Davidson, STRS Board Vice Chair, and Robin Rayfield, ORTA Executive Director will join us. They will take questions that you may have such as What is happening with our pension? What do we need to know? What are your concerns? Bring your questions.
August 4th Luncheon

Program: The Potluck is Back!—Bring a delicious dish to share and your own service (silverware/plate). Water will be available or bring your own beverage. President Pat Cataldo will provide his famous pulled-pork sandwiches for everyone to enjoy.
The program will include recognition of GCRTA’s 60th Anniversary and a warm welcome to newly retired teachers! Educator Grant winners will share with us how they used their grant in the classroom. This is always an informative and fun presentation.
